There is a real product here and a lot of vague marketing around it. We state the recycled content as a percentage of the cover material and say plainly which part of the folio it applies to, because a recycled outer on a virgin lining is not a recycled padfolio.

Cork is the one people are surprised by: it is light, it does not scratch, it takes a laser mark beautifully, and it is genuinely different in the hand from every PU folio on the table.

The technical catch with these materials is decoration. A deboss die run at the temperature used for hide will gloss or melt a PU or recycled surface, leaving a shiny halo around the mark. We run cooler and slower, and we proof it on the actual material before the run.
